A Little About Me

I have always had a talent for art and design. From the early days of my youth when I would sit in class and draw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to designing complex GUIs and layouts for a fortune 500 company, creativity has always been a part of my life. When I was seven, I was given encouragement by my first grade teacher. She sent me home over the summer with a blank notebook and asked me to fill it with my drawings. I did just that, and thus began my career in art.

In 2001 I graduated from Dalton State College with an Associate's degree in General Studies. I then began study at the Art Institute of Atlanta. There I continued on my path to a career in art, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Interactive Multimedia Design. My first job prospects moved me from Georgia to Virginia, where I resided for over eight years. At first I wasn't too keen on Virginia, but then it grew on me. Or should I saw someone specific grew on me, my wife. After marrying her, Virginia didn't seem so bad anymore.

I then returned to Georgia, with my wife in tow, for new opportunities and advancements within my career. I have experience in programming, graphic design, usability analyzation, website journalism, 3D still and animation, video/movie editing, and information architecture. My skill sets include programming in HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, ActionScript, and Lingo. In my designs I use Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, 3DS Max, SoundBooth and After Effects. I currently freelance as a multimedia artist, primarily creating web pages, but also design logos and various other items my clients may ask for.

If this sounds good to you, then hop over to my Contact page and send me a message. Or if you just want to chat, I'm up for that too. I enjoy scuba diving in my spare time. It's very relaxing. When I can't get to a large body of water to swim in though, I enjoy playing video games and listening to a wide array of music. What are you in to?
